Having already won promotion to the Middlesex County Cricket League Premier Division, Crouch End sealed the title with a six wicket win over rivals Hornsey on Saturday.

Pratel was delighted his side got the rewards for an outstanding season and said: "The lads are very pleased that we pulled something off that a lot of clubs probably thought wasn't possible.

"To be able to do that three years in a row is quite remarkable.
aturday was really good. They know they had to win to have a chance of promotion.

"At the start of the season we said we wanted to be the hardest team to beat and the hardest working team. We've probably done both of those.

"A couple of the games we won were really close and could have gone either way and it could have been different.

"We do feel that we have been the best team in the league. We have won the most games."

Hornsey were bowled out for 134 in Saturday's game after 44.5 overs before Crouch End batted their way to victory in just 27 overs.

Natim Hassam and Sejil Ramniclal both took three wickets for Crouch End, with Dhaval Narotam then opening with a score of 28.

Patel hit 48 for his side before he was caught but Hassam's 16 not out helped them over the line to win the title.

The vice-captain is excited for his side to test themselves in the Premier Division, adding: "For a long time we have been in this area and now we will be competing against North Middlesex next year.

"It's shows how far we have come as a club. It comes from doing things in the right way.

"We have the right people off the field supporting the club. The chairman and secretary's support have been fantastic.

"We have invested more in young players, they have really come good for us.

"We have four or five really senior members of the side who have driven the success.

"Our captain Hiren Desai has done a fantastic job. We will continue to work really hard.
